The product uses high purity fused magnesia and synthetic magnesia-zirconia as the main raw materials. It is finished by high pressure forming and high temperature firing. The product has excellent corrosion resistance to alkali metals, oxides, sulfides, etc. It also has good resistance to alkaline atmosphere and alkaline slag. Therefore, the product is widely used in regenerator of glass furnace, cement kiln, electric furnace and non-ferrous metal smelt.

4,Damage mechanism of Magnesia Zirconia Bricks for Glass Furnace:
products are new type of periclase--forsterite--Zircon Bonded Magnesium Refractories.Because of the strong corrosion resistance of forsterite and zirconia, the corrosion resistance of brick is improved.However, with the exchange of air flow in the regenerator, a large amount of silicon, sodium, calcium, sulfur and a small amount of phosphorus ehich from flying material in molten poolwill adhere to the surface of the brick and gradually penetrate into the interior of the brick, and form sodium, calcium, magnesium and other silicates, phosphate,which weakens the strength of the brick, resulting in a reduction in the strength of the brick.
The corrosion of products is between periclase and zircon,with the increase of SIO2 content, a new low melting point silicate phase is formed, which produces a larger volume effect, resulting in cracking and spalling of bricks.
The gases of harmful oxides such as sulfur and phosphorus produced by combustion of fuel adhere to the surface of magnesia-zirconium brick during air exchange in regenerator and penetrate into the inside of the brick, and react to form new salts substance, which change and destroy the structure of the brick and reduce the service life of the brick.
5. Product salient characteristics
1) Good corrosion resistance to alkali metals, oxides, sulfides, etc.
2) It is used in the upper part of the regenerator without blockage or collapse.
3) The product structure is periclase-forsterite-zircon, which is very compact and has a density of over 3.0g/cm3.
4) The overall performance is stable at high temperature, and the service life is more than 8 years.
